Many believe that the future of Osteopathy is under threat, DOC will help support the survival of the many varied and rich philosophies and modes of practice which are its heritage.

The public's access to the healing art of osteopathy has already been severely curtailed by the way the Osteopaths Act 1993 has been interpreted and implemented.

We hope to also make this site a valuable information point for all osteopaths and allied physical therapists in the UK.

Despite the statutory regulation of osteopaths very little progress has yet been made to raise the profile of this therapeutic system within the NHS. It is still rare to find a registered osteopath working within the NHS hospital system despite their proven history of success.

Too little research has been funded.

Too little PR efforts have made.

Briefly what has this costly regulatory body achieved for the profession?
